About Us

When my oldest was born and outgrew her newborn sleepers, I wanted to preserve the memories of how little she was. So, I searched for something to make. Bobo was born, I made him using 4 of her little sleepers. She loved him so much and so did I. Remembering when she wore those sleepers brought such happy memories.

Bella's Bears & Co was born!

At first, I worked on making keepsakes using outgrown kid’s clothes, but over time I knew I needed to make them out of loved one’s clothes that are no longer with us.

Preserving those memories meant so much more. To be able to bring a different level of comfort to customers, to bring closure, to help them grieve. And so, I did. By doing this, it also helped me with my grief of losing someone that I didn't get to say goodbye to.

Keepsake Bears, quilts, pillows, ornaments using outgrown clothes, loved one’s clothes, it's what I am meant to do.

A little about me

Clara Verdade of Bella's Bears & Co.My name is Clara and not Bella like I know most people call me.

I am a mom of 2 girls, been married for almost 10 years to the best guy ever.

I was a bilingual customer service agent for over 15 years and when my oldest was born, I knew I didn't want to go back to work.

When I started this business, I had the basic knowledge of sewing. I learned how to sew way back in high-school and made myself a purse.

I made my daughter's Bobo bear using my mother in law's sewing machine. That Christmas my husband got me my own machine and off I went!

Everything I know, I learned by watching videos, trying, undoing, redoing. That's how I learned what I know today. I am still learning new things every day.

I wear a lot of hats when it comes to the business, and so does my family, hence why it's a family business. My kids are my testers and assistants, my husband is my courier/driver. He is also great at giving me ideas.

Thank you for being here!
